Known for his twisted antics, quick wit and uncanny ability to charm and offend everyone in his path, Nick VC's sets echo his tendency to make you laugh or cry. This funky little number was inspired by the two weeks he spent in New York City running in the annual marathon, trick-or-treating and studying to become the world's next financial mastermind, followed by a birthday weekend in Berlin (where else?). Originally from Johannesburg, Nick was self-schooled between the brick-and-mortar of Georgetown's legendary 32-Q basement before developing his taste and talent in London. Here "El Señor de los Platos" offers a serving of his delectable home cooking that's a sure finger-licker for every palate. He tastefully integrates a Malian jazz duo, an Ethiopian arranger, and his favorite Willy Wonka scene into the recipe. While this gobstopper is not everlasting, it bounces back and forth between sweet, sour and hard tech-house grooves.
Deaf Co. is extremely grateful to Nick for taking time out of his busy schedule to give us this gem. We should have let the Cat In The Hat throw those CFA books out the 14-story window when we had the chance. After all, they're the only thing standing in the way of him becoming the world's next great South African DJ…YAYAWEWAH!

Wow! Friendli’s second release is a soulful one to say the least. We are proud to introduce the beautiful, exquisite voice of a dear friend of our’s, who is new to the electronic music market, all-together. Fer Casillas has a very bright and promising future in soul and jazz vocal performance and we were very lucky to get her in the studio and record these amazing vocals. Cantisani and Siller turn-up a fantastic, thumping, techy, pounding monster of a track that is sure to have everyone dancing as soon as it hits both airwaves and the club circuit. Based on the original track by RoyalDance (Gibler+Cantisani) and Eduardo Rossell, one of Mexico's finest Dj's and producers. Original mix and b-sides will be available soon. Stay tuned.
